Joggers: A Closet Staple

ALEXANDER WANG AVIATOR JOGGING PANT, ALEXANDER WANG UTILITY TRACK PANT, 3.1 PHILLIP LIM DRAPED POCKET TROUSEr. All from www.lagarconne.com.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that these pants don't suit every body-type, but I have wanted a few pairs for about as long as I can remember. They're perfect for lazy days, still giving you that relaxed, chic look with all of the comfort of sweatpants. La Garconne has some beautiful joggers and draped trousers. If I was to get any, they would be the three above, but at their designer prices, I'm going to have to save for a bit! Anyway, I think these are a closet staple and also great for these lazy winter months.

Spring Inspiration

Now that spring is finally (almost) on it's way, I've decided to compile a kind of inspiration board for what my style has been leaning towards, and also things I'm absolutely in love with and will be using every day once the nicer weather comes.

I've been really interested in photography lately, and apart from the camera that I want to get for everyday things (the Nikon Coolpix L120), I'd really love to get into polaroids. Next up is my quest for simple, boxy white tees with neat graphics… I've been admiring a few freshjive tees that are pretty similar to the one above. Hotpants are a trend that I love, but am probably too awkward and lanky to pull off, so that one will stay in the "I just love this, but probably will never have the guts to pull it off" group of style photos. Gemstones are the way to my heart, and I'm going to start wrapping wire pendants like the ones in the picture, so I can be a little bit more creative and cheap than just buying them somewhere, but then my cheapness will probably crack in the sight of silver rings. I love the idea of just piling them onto your fingers, and let's face it-- I have a secret obsession for finger tattoos. I really want one, even though they're so impractical and almost impossible to cover, but, oh well. IF I DID THOUGH! Well, if you see the next picture, that's the kind of thing I would consider getting. Ugh, and these Alexander Wang Luca ankle boots are at the top of my spring wishlist. At $460, they'd be a big splurge, but again, JUST LOOK AT THE BEAUTIES! I'm sorry that I've been screaming at you all in capitols, but I guess ankle boots and finger tattoos bring out my passionate side.

As I'm listening to these albums right now, I thought it was only fitting to post them to, because, in a way they are inspiring and easy to blog to.

Let's hope my closet will someday have clothes as beautiful as those in it, and stay as clean! Have a nice almost-spring, everyone!

Street Style: Jacquelyn Jablonski

Well everyone, here she is… one of my newfound fashion inspirations, maybe even my new favorite model, if only abbey lee would move aside. Jacqueline Jablonski. You might've seen her on numerous runways and magazine covers, but where she really steals the show is on the street. She has absolutely sensational off-duty style, her signature look being tailored, menswear inspired pieces. I can appreciate the bold simplicity of her outfits, as she anchors them with a few favorite pieces, being a quilted black Chanel shoulder bag and an assortment of black boots. I've taken a tip or two from her menswear inspired wardrobe, and will be searching for masculine-inspired, tailored pieces that still hold some femininity. Once I find some pieces I like, I'll style an outfit and hopefully post a few photos.

Let's hope my search will prove worthwhile!

Modern Clean

Modern Clean

I absolutely love every aspect of this set for early spring. Effortless, yet flawlessly achieving that 'off-duty model' look everyone craves. I would love to be the proud owner of that DKNY leather jacket. The color-blocked neutrals, the soft, supple leather, the minimalistic design… ugh, I'm in absolute material heaven. Dear Ms. Donna Karan, if you're feeling at all generous… please, please, pretty please just package this baby up and send it my way! Much appreciated, Gloria

Wow, this is a sad thought. It's three minutes after midnight during finals week, and I'm lying in my bed, listening to Talking Heads, on Polyvore, and imagining a fake letter to the Miss Donna Karan herself. I swear, it was the sublime color-blocking that drove me mad!

Goodnight, everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely night.

Wildfox Spring 2012: Pony Tale

At the beginning of every year, we all count on and look forward to hoards of new spring fashion lines coming out. One collection that stunned me was Wildfox's. Shades of pastel cotton candy, hints of kitschy americana, and a whimsical animal print here and there all influence the brand's signature knit pieces. What Wildfox also nailed was balancing the collection with bold graphics and a touch of black lace. Overall, the finished product is very wearable and undoubtedly a great accomplishment.

Here I posted some of my favorites, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

I'm new here…

And I kind of went out on a whim and made this. Fashion has been interesting me more and more lately, so I've decided to begin sharing my ideas on fashion and beauty with the anonymous world.

I'm Gloria, a young blogger who has far off dreams of being involved in the fashion industry in the future. My aim with this blog is to not only improve my writing skills, but also to share my idea of fashion with whoever is willing to read it.

Yours truly, Gloria June
